Up for sale is a
Vintage Circa 1930s Dobro Resonator, Model 27, 6 String Electric Acoustic Guitar, Serial Number 5995, with a Hard Shell Case. The Dobro shows normal wear for its age and is guaranteed to work and play perfect. The body, neck and headstock are secure. On the side bottom of the guitar there is a crack going horizontal with the guitar. The crack is in the wood, you can feel it with your finger, but it does not appear to go all the way through the wood. Also there is one very minor surface crack on the right side that you can not really feel when you rub your finger over it. In our opinion the cracks are just cosmetic and does not affect the guitar. (We offer free returns for any reason at our cost). Other then those cracks the guitar does not have any other cracks or breaks. All parts appear to be original. The tuning keys have a smooth and secure action to them. The guitar does not any dead frets and plays great.
Based on the Serial Number we believe the Dobro was made between 1934-1936 in California.
The top of the headstock is stamped 5995

The case is not original and shows normal wear for storage with some scuffs on it. The inside gray lining has a felt/cotton feel and is intact. The latches and lid open and close without any issues
I did not notice the typical vintage smell that you typically find with guitars of this age.
