This lot contains a cover apparently carried on the FAM 8-5c first flight from Brownsville, TX, to Tapachula, Mexico, on September 1, 1929, arriving on the 3rd.  The cover made intermediate stops in Mexico City, Veracruz, and San Geronimo.
Cover included:
9/1/1929 Brownsville, TX, cancel and Tapachula backstamp on the 4th.  This route was established with short notice so no cachets were applied.  The cover has the proper postmark and backstamp for the flight.  It is listed in various editions of the  American Air Mail Catalog as FAM8-5c.  The cover has a sealed flap.
Condition is as shown in the pics.  The cover shows minimal toning, but has a paper clip mark top middle.
