    Description

For sale is this Paillard Bolex H16 Non Reflex in great looking and working condition. This is a NON reflex camera, meaning you can't see an image trough the lens like in modern cameras. This camera is not for everyone and it requires some understanding of the photographic process, be aware the camera is SOLD AS IS.
The camera works fine, I tested it with film today 07.05.21 and you can see the processed film... Great image, exposure is right on the spot, the lens used is sharp and the camera in general works and looks great, but this camera is around 6
0 years old, it would be a great idea to get it serviced so you can use it for many years.
What is not in great condition?
One lens, the 17mm one is stuck, so you cannot turn the focus or the iris ring at all. The telephoto lens (black one) rotates freely, but it can be used and both aperture and focusing rings work just fine.
Consider those two lenses a gift.
The lever that changes the viewfinder glass to the 15mm position on the directors viewfinder doesn't stay in position.
Now what is working as expected?
Everything else really. The 1 inch f1.9 lens is the one I used to take the shot you can see on the pics works great, the focal flange camera of the camera is right on the spot meaning you can use the witness marks on the lens to focus the lens. The camera runs great, I did run film trough it I didn't see any scratches, I filmed with the camera and you can judge the result yourself. I only tested the basic functions of the camera and those work fine.
The condition of the camera is great, please look at the pictures. Again this camera is not for everyone, but those who take the time to understand how it works get great results, and brighter and sharper images than the reflex camera since the image goes directly to the film, not a prism.
    Included:
    - Bolex Camera Body H16 Non reflex No. 132225 (1957)
    - Directors Viewfinder
    - Wollensak 1 inch f1.9 Cine Raptar. In beautiful condition, clean glass, no scratches at all and smooth focusing and aperture rings. There is some oil on the aperture blades, but not affecting  functionality.
    - Votar  Cine Wide Angle Lens 17mm f2.5. It is STUCK. The focusing and aperture rings are stuck, they don't move at all. The condition of the lens is great, the glass is clean with no scratches or marks at all.
    - Alpex Telephoto 3" (inches) f3.2. The body of the lens is in great, beautiful condition. The glass is clean with no scratches or cleaning marks. No dust or fungus at all. The lens rotates freely, I don't know if that's the way it is supposed to work, but it's weird
    - 3 rear lens caps and 2 C mount (body) caps, several filters, and lens tissue, the original manual and some papers.
    - Bolex hard case. It's in beautiful condition in my opinion, it's not perfect, but it looks great for it's age for sure. It has some scratches and marks here and there, but nothing important.
The camera is SOLD AS IS. Working with film is not for everyone, it's not my fault if you don't know what to do with the camera. if you have questions please ask before buying it. I know a lot about cameras and I can answer your questions.
NO RETURNS ACCEPTED. Shipping to the lower 48 United States only. No Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or international shipping.
It's a heavy package, hence the steep shipping cost and I'm sure it's going to cost me more than that for sure.
    Thanks for looking.
