    Description

This uncirculated 5 New Zealand dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as part of the Brighter Money series. It is a brown and orange polymer banknote that is dated 2015, bears the signature of Bank Governor Graeme Wheeler, and measures 135 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side shows a gold penguin SPARK feature, Mount Cook/Aoraki, and the mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary. Its reverse side displays a daisy (Pleurophyllum speciosum) flower, a yellow-eyed penguin (Megadyptes antipodes) bird, and ferns. Because it is a polymer note, it does not have a security thread or a watermark. This note was honored as the IBNS Bank Note of the Year 2015.
