    Description

NEWLY REDUCED—I am significantly lowering my price for this unique handcrafted turn-of-the-century parlor guitar ... AND, because shipping has become far too expensive, limiting to local pick up only.
The old style screw-through bone tuner buttons indicate the late 1890s or early 1900s (plastic was commercially introduced in 1907). The 12-sided shape is unprecedented.
There is a curious vertical wood insert which, I believe, functions to increase the volume by bouncing the sound off the squared sides.
Spruce top, distinctive Brazilian rosewood back & sides. Wood binding (a bit missing at the top). Neck heel cracked and stabilized by screw.
NOTE: The fretboard is seriously wonky—it has dot markers at the fifth, seventh, ninth and ... the eleventh frets! Very odd.
As with guitars this age, the action is a bit high. Comes with handmade wood coffin case.
SHIPPING NOTE: I am reluctant to ship as the cost has skyrocketed. Also, the wooden coffin case makes the weight @ 20 lbs. Hence, the steep price point.
