Canon 514XL Super 8mm Movie Camera with C-8 Zoom Lens and Tiffen Filter. I do not have film to actually test the functionality of the camera, I did put batteries in and checked out some functions. The camera rolls when the switch is depressed (I saw it turn as well). Zoom works, the battery tester LED illuminated in the viewfinder when I pushed the button.  The Timer sounded as though it was timing out. I tried all functions that I knew how to operate, just didn't have film to load. Battery / Film compartment is clean.

This model, developed under the basic design policy of “compactness,” revised the basic construction of the best-selling Auto Zoom 518SV Super 8 model.
A new type of 5x f/1.4 zoom lens was developed, with 13 elements in 11 groups to achieve both high performance and compactness. Macro shooting at both the wide-angle and telephoto ends was made possible. A self-timer mechanism was built into the camera to enable 10 seconds shooting with 10 seconds delay. The power source, using mere two AA batteries, was located on top of the camera, and the compact folding-type grip was folded to the bottom of the camera. This layout renewal achieved a body only 39 mm wide. The extensive use of plastic resulted in a light weight of 620 grams, including batteries, but it also had a high-grade black body.
